Hajiya Asmau Musa Wada has promised that her husband’s administration will empower women by providing financial empowerment and pursuing policies that will make women more self-reliant.
Hajiya Asmau Musa said that ; her leadership as the first lady will increase the budget of the ministry of women’s affair so as to assist over 7 million women in the state. She added that more skill acquisition centers will also be available to train women to be more empowered.
“Our administration will be more committed than any other administration in upholding the rule of law and ensure that the law against domestic violence and abuse including rape against our teenage girls are brought to the fore.
She said Kogi would have a lot to benefit by empowering women in a challenging state as Kogi.
“We believe strongly that our women must be encouraged and properly enabled so that our state can benefit more from their immense potential. At this critical moment of economic challenge, we cannot afford to leave our women behind. To do so, we must be like a bird that attempts to fly with one wing on the September 3rd, by supporting Engr. Musa Wada to become the flag bearer of our great party ” she said.
