RE: OLOFU NOMINATED AS RUNNING MATE
My attention has been drawn to series of mutually conflicting social media publications alleging in one breath that I have been nominated as running mate to the amiable Governorship Candidate of my great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Ahmed Usman Ododo; and in another breath that I have rejected the imaginary nomination.
I wish to place it on record that I am not aware that anyone has nominated me for any such electoral position. I read the purported news on the social media like all other persons.
However for the avoidance of any doubt whatsoever, I wish to state very categorically that I am a loyal member of my party, the APC and I’m equally entirely loyal to the New Direction administration of His Excellency Yahaya Adoiza Bello.
It is therefore preposterous to engage in imaginary speculation that I, Hon GY Olofu, a proud believer in this government and its many superlative achievements never before recorded in the history of Kogi State will reject a nomination from the same administration.
I am indeed willing and ready to serve in any position to make my humble contribution to the liberation of our dear state from the years of economic, social and political doldrums that the Government of His Excellency is redressing.
I wish to thank all those who called either out of concern or to celebrate with me over the phantom nomination, but right now there’s no such development . If and when there’s such a development I will be the first to inform our teeming supporters.
