It has been an intense preparation going into the gubernatorial election in Edo State, From Adams Oshiomole’s entry into Edo state, to the Governor Godwin Obaseki’s Decision to deal decisively with Ballot box snatchers during the election.
Ahead of the poll, the Edo State Deputy Governor, Mr Philip Shaibu has made some striking revelation about the former Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole and the PDP gubernatorial flagbearer, Pastor Ize-Iyamu.
Philip Shaibu who spoke to newsman about what transpired was quoted as saying, I was repeatedly advised by comrade Adams Oshiomole to Impeach Godwin Obaseki and become the Edo state Governor, it was a decision a wholeheartedly refused and That resulted to the face-off that exist between us.
I can’t do that because during Oshiomole’s era as the Governor of Edo State, he was under heavy oppression, I stood by him to Make sure he wasn’t impeached, during that time, I was brutalized and it was Pastor Peter Ize-Iyamu who led the Attack. It is unfortunate that the same Ize-Iyamu is now a saint in the eyes of Adams Oshiomole who he wanted to Impeach. Philip Shaibu continued.
I had to throw my wife and children through the fence because I needed to save Adams Oshiomole From impeachment, I undeterred and ready to use the same energy I used in defending Adams Oshiomole From impeachment on Godwin Obaseki because I detest injustice. He concluded.
