by

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has stated that he will not worship his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, simply because Wike contributed to his emergence as governor. He emphasized that while he appreciates Wike’s role, he cannot worship a human being, as God is the ultimate authority. Fubara also discussed his efforts to resolve the political crisis in the state through reconciliation meetings, which the other party has rebuffed. He highlighted his commitment to building on the foundation laid by past leaders and promoting development in the state, rather than engaging in political fights. The governor emphasized his restraint and maturity in handling the crisis, prioritizing peace and development over conflict.
