Hon. Elder Leke Abejide, the immediate past candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Kogi November gubernatorial election and a member of the Committee on Customs & Excise Duties in the 10th National Assembly, representing the Yagba federal constituency, expressed shock and grief yesterday over the passing of Hon. Yahaya Ade Ismail, the former Kogi State Commissioner for Special Duties.
In his condolence messages, made available to newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday, also extended sympathy to the Government of Kogi State, the Executive Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the people of Aiyegunle Gbede and Ijumu LGA of the State.
Hon. Leke called on the immediate family members of Hon. Yahaya Ade Ismail to find comfort and solace in the inevitability of death for all mortals. He prayed that the Almighty God would comfort those who lost their loved ones and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The untimely departure of Hon. Ismail has left a void that, according to Leke, will be challenging to fill. The loss is not only deeply felt by his family and friends but resonates across the entire state.
