Hon. Leke Abejide and Engr. Sagir Koki win Democracy Newsline Newspaper Awards, 2024

 

The Honourable member representing Yagba Federal Constituency and House Committee Chairman on Customs and Excises, Hon. Leke Abejide and Hon. (Engr.) Sagir Ibrahim Koki, representing Kano Municipal Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives have emerged winners of the different categories of award honors in this year’s opinion polls conducted by a team of experts who find them worthy of the recognitions.

This was revealed in a press statement issued in Abuja by the Executive Editor, Democracy Newsline, Elder Olalekan Aiyenigba on behalf of the management and made available to newsmen signalling the commencement of activities towards the celebration of the 14th anniversary of Democracy Newsline Newspaper which coincides with the 64th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence

He stated that the Democracy Newsline Newspaper Award (DNNA) is an annual event wherein individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers and sectors of operations are being recognized with Awards of Excellence to encourage them to do more for the nation and humanity.

He said the Award of honor is an event of an arm of Michabifem Ventures Limited, Publishers of Democracy Newsline Newspaper and online blog bridging the gap between the government and its citizens as guaranteed by the international laws and 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended being a member of the fourth estate of the realm.

He further stated that Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide has been found worthy of the Award as Outstanding Federal Lawmaker on Constituency Projects Execution, while Hon. (Engr.) Sagir Ibrahim Koki emerged as the Northern Nigeria Lawmaker of the Year.

He noted that the presentation will be held on the 9th October, 2024 at the National Merit House, Abuja by 10.am prompt.
