Hon. Faleke: “I’m Honored to Speak on Nigeria’s Democratic Progress” National Assembly Celebrates 25 Years of Unbroken Democracy

 

 

Abuja, Nigeria – The National Assembly marked a historic milestone today, celebrating 25 years of unbroken democracy in Nigeria with a special joint session attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lawmakers, government officials, and stakeholders.

The joint session, held at the National Assembly Complex, reflected on Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1999 and showcased its progress in consolidating democracy. President Tinubu declared “Nigeria, We Hail Thee” as the nation’s official national anthem, a move seen as a symbol of national unity and pride.

Hon. James Faleke, a member of the National Assembly, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to speak during the plenary session, highlighting the progress and development of democracy in Nigeria.
