Mr. Muhammadu Bashar, Emir of Gwandu and the Chairman Kebbi Council of Chiefs, has said the high rate of insecurity in Nigeria is caused by homosexuality, rape and lesbianism that are been committed in the country.
The traditional chief made the claim while addressing his subjects after Eid-el-Kabir prayer in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday.
The monarch said too much sin is responsible for Nigeria insecurity.
He warmed that Nigeria has embraced Devil and turned away from God.
“The society today is bedevilled by cases of rape, homosexuality, lesbianism, kidnapping and rampant killings which resulted into the present insecurity Nigeria is faced with,” he said.
“I give glory to God for giving us the opportunity to witness another Sallah.
“The present ills in our society is also due to indiscipline and too much love for material wealth,” he said.
The traditional chief said that Nigeria will not have peace until the citizens turn to God and abandon Devil and his evil deed.
The monarch has asked God to direct the leaders to rule well for the well being of the citizens.
