History Is Made As Ogun becomes first state to approve Amotekun bill

The Ogun State has become the first among the South West governments to approve Amotekun, the planned Western Nigeria Security Network for the region.

The State Executive Council gave the approval at its meeting on Tuesday at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Kunle Somorin, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor announced in a statement.

Somorin said Adegbolahan Adeniran, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the State, said the presentation of the bill before the state council came after earlier approval by the Attorneys-General and Commissioners of Justice from the region
