The Presidency has dismissed rumors of a rift between President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, describing the claims as “illogical conspiracy theories.”

In a statement released to mark Vice President Shettima’s 58th birthday, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, emphasized the strong working relationship between the President and Vice President.

“Vice President Shettima stands out as a beacon of dedication and commitment to his principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Nkwocha said. “His unwavering support and teamwork demonstrate a refreshing shift towards harmonious collaboration, setting a positive tone for their administration.”

Nkwocha praised Shettima’s loyalty, saying he has “consistently demonstrated his loyalty through his words and actions, showcasing a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.”

The statement also highlighted Shettima’s contributions to the administration, saying he has “brought a unique blend of experience, expertise, and energy to the table in support of the Renewed Hope Administration.”

The Presidency’s denial of a rift between Tinubu and Shettima comes amid speculation about their working relationship. However, Nkwocha’s statement reaffirms the strong partnership between the President and Vice President.
