Local Government party Charimen from the Nine Local Goverrment areas of Kogi East, has unanimously endorse the removal from office through suspension the state PDP chairman,Engineer Sam Uhuotu.
In a four page contained in a seven point allegations levelled against the leadership of Engineer Sam Uhuotu,the local government chapters accused him among others of deliberately refused to convene stakeholders meeting to review the conduct of the Governorship election condemned by both local and international communities marred with glaring irregularities.
It was also alleged that Uhuotu led committee shun any formal statement that will manifest his position in relation to the conduct of charade called election in the state on November 16.
Irrespective of mass killings,murder and burning down of houses belonging to the supporters of PDP across the state, with particular concentration in Kogi East, West and leaving out Central,the party chairmen maintained the attitude of the party leadership is glaringly not on the same page with its supporters.
Uhuotu was also accussed of shunning all efforts and statements of witness towards assisting the party into taking necessary legal action to reclaim the mandate stolen by the APC led adminstration under Yahaya Bello at the Tribunal .
It was revealed that apart from diverting official tags, materials meant for use by the agents of the Party from the Units to Wards, Local government areas and State meant for the five Local Government areas of Kogi Central, having connived with his kinsman,Governor Yahaya Bello of APC to write results,Engineer Uhuotu also absconded with monies meant for logistics by the party in his custody for the Five Local Government areas,that frustrated the chances of PDP from participating in the election from the area.
The PDP state Chariman was also involved in deep anti party activities and nocturnal meetings with the state Governor,where he and his cohorts were heavily induced financially to dim the chances of the party in the last election.
According to the party leadership from the Nine Local Government areas,says it will amount to a sell out, to allow Engineer Uhuotu to run the party at his whims and caprices,so as to continue to inflict pains and sufferings on the people of the state, at the advantage of his own kinsman and avarice tendencies.
The nine Local Government areas Party Chairmen from Kogi east,said they have ressolved and passed a vote of no confidence on the Engineer Uhuotu led leadership in Kogi,insisting that no meaningful opposition and progress will be achieved if he continues as the state Party Chairman of PDP.
The Chairmen said they have viewed with serious disdain the attitude of Engineer Uhuotu, since the last General elections, when the party lost woefully at the Central,with his connivance to fan the embers of tribal champion against the people of Kogi east.
The Chairmen warned on the consequences of allowing Engineer Uhuotu to continue to man the leadership of the party in Kogi,saying he has already compromised the strongest opposition in the state at the mercy of pot of porridge.
