Groups Lauds FCT Minister Of State Over Roads Construction In Gwagwalada

 

Indigenes and Non Indigenes group in Gwagwalada has commended the new Minster of State FCT,Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu on the ongoing rehabilitation, reconstruction and open up of major roads in the area council. OBSERVERS TIMES report

The groups conssiting of the Gwaris,Bassas,Gbagis,Igalas,Nupes, Hausas and Ibos living in the area council said in the last ten years, the area has never had it so good,compared to the efforts of the new Minister of state to open up the area.

According to the spokesperson of the group,Alhaji Yakubu Gomina reiterated the commitement of the people in the area council to extend a hand of fellowship to the new Minister of State, so as to attract more of her efforts to join hands with the senior Minister,Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, to prioritise the provision of basic infrastructure in the six area councils.

He said the concluded plans and award of major roads in Gwagwalada beginning from Jeremiah Useni Road-Express road,Market road stretched to old Kutunku-Kaida road,Radio House to Aguma palace through to Park road,Almohass road to join the old Kutunku road among other major roads in the council, will go along way to solving the perennial bad road network .

Gomina said the people of the area council will support the Minister in her efforts to ensure accelerated development to all the area councils of the FCT.

He appealed to the Minster to look into the possibility of ensuring the completion and expansion of the abandoned General Hospital located on Jeremiah Useni street by the Bala Mohammed administration among other numerous social services provided by the FCT administration.

According to the spokesman,Roads,Water,Light and other social services can not be overlooked in the fast growing area council to avoid break out of needles scourge capable of affecting the residents of the FCT negatively.

He warned contractors of the roads,ALIA not to attempt to connive with top goverrment officials of the FCT geared towards abandoning the roads,saying the residents of the area will be monitoring the early completion of the roads project before this year’s rain .

Aside adherence to early completion,they must also abide by job specifications,so as to give a long life span to the new roads .
