Governor’s Criticism of Tinubu: A Diversion from His Own Failures

The Arewa Young Leaders Forum (AYLF) has accused Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, of using his criticism of President Bola Tinubu as a smokescreen to divert attention from his own governance failures.

In a statement issued on Friday, AYLF’s President and General Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Maikifi and Dr. Anthony Apochi, respectively, alleged that Governor Mohammed’s comments were a deliberate attempt to shift attention from his inability to provide basic amenities to the people of Bauchi State.

Governor Mohammed had earlier criticized the Tinubu-led government, saying its policies were causing pain to the people and might jeopardize Tinubu’s re-election chances in 2027. However, AYLF believes this criticism is a mere distraction from his own shortcomings.

The group also alleged that Governor Mohammed is sponsoring the ongoing protests against President Tinubu, using his position and resources to fuel the unrest. AYLF described this as a clear case of political mischief and an attempt to incite unrest and chaos in the country.
