Governor Zulum joins Buhari, Sultan, other leaders at conference on repositioning muslim families

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum was at the banquet hall of the Presidential villa in Abuja where a national conference was held with the theme, “Repositioning the Muslim Family For National Development”.

Held on Thursday, the conference was jointly organized by the Nigerian supreme council for Islamic Affairs and the Future Assured established by First Lady Aisha Buhari.

President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Wife of the President Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, Governors, Ministers, prominent traditional leaders, and religious leaders attended the conference that was chaired by the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi delivered a keynote address on Leadership and the role of Northern State Governments on repositioning the Muslim family and mitigating marital crisis.

The Emir presented another paper which explored challenges posed by the existence of thousands of children relegated to almajiris in many parts of northern Nigeria.

Other invited speakers delivered lectures on other topics that aimed towards the repositioning of Muslim families in Nigeria.
