In a surprising move, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has named Ali Bello, the nephew of former Governor Yahaya Bello, as his Chief of Staff.
Prior to this appointment, Bello faced allegations from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for purportedly withdrawing more than N10 billion from the Kogi State treasury.
The funds were allegedly handed over to Rabiu Tafada, a bureau de change operator in Abuja, raising concerns about fraudulent activities and the potential conversion of the funds into foreign currencies for personal gain.
