Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has commended Engineer Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, for taking proactive steps in tackling security issues at the border areas, as well as within the state.
The Benue Governor gave the commendation while delivering his opening remarks at the Benue/Nasarawa States Joint Security and Peace meeting, holding at Yalwata, in Benue State, on Wednesday.
Ortom said the joint security meeting convened at the instance of his Nasarawa State counterpart, will provide the avenue to iron out issues concerning security challenges between the two neighbouring states.
OBSERVERS TIMES investigation reveals that For Security, Engr. has done his modest best even though Toto LGA & some parts of Southern Senatorial District are still suffering from inter-etbnic rivalry & farmer/herder clashes. But we have seen increased operation by armed personnel. More however needs to be done.
