Mr. Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna state governor, confirms the existence of a cabal in Muhammadu Buhari government but says he is not among them.
The Kaduna governor said cabal exists everywhere, but the issue is, is the cabal better for the nation or ruining the state.
ThisDay reported the Kaduna governor to have said this in Lagos while speaking to journalists, a story that was published by TheCable an online newspaper.
Mr. El-Rufai said it was natural for leaders to have a few people around them whom they trust enough to confide in and seek advice from, he described such persons as cabals.
“There’s always a cabal. In every government or institution, there are always two or three people you can trust with whom you take decisions. So, there’s always a cabal.”
“But the issue is whether the cabal is a positive or negative one. However, whether I am a member of the cabal, the answer is no. My primary assignment is Kaduna.”
The Kaduna governor made this statement three years ago, however the current happening with the recent accusation by Mr. Munguno, the National Security Adviser that Mr. Abbah Kyari, the Buhari’s Chief of staff, frustrates the administration, tends to validate El-rufai’s claim that there is a cabal in Buhari government.
This is even as he said; he is not among the cabal.
