Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello on Friday paid condolence visit to the family of the Former Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru at Niger Barracks, Abuja.
While condoling the wife and children of the bereaved, Governor Bello urged the family to take solace in the exemplary and selfless life the former Army Chief lived.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of Attahiru Ibrahim and others who died in the air accident.
The governor also joined eminent Nigerians, family, friends, associates, top government officials for the 8-day fidau prayers for late Attahiru.
Earlier on Wednesday, the delegation of Kogi state government visited the family of Flight Officer Olufade the copilot of the crashed plane who died alongside other officers onboard. The delegation which was led by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr (Mrs) Folashade Ayoade Arike condoled with the family and expressed that the government of Kogi State were sharing in the grief of the family.
