APC will suffer dire consequences Says “Go To PDP And I Will Support You, Oyegun Tells Obaseki.

former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, on Friday, urged the APC disqualified candidate of Edo State Godswill Obaseki to pursue his second term ticket the leading opposition party in the state, Peoples Democratic Party PDP source within discloses to OBSERVERS TIMES report.

The former governor of Edo State said, the action of a party in disqualifying the best option in the state will come back to hurt the party.

“Oyegun was quoted to have said “I welcome most warmly the news that the incumbent governor is already on the verge of announcing his defection to PDP, should he announces it, I will give him all the needed support”

His words: “It was expected that all the gladiators should subjected themselves to party primaries in the build-up to the state governorship elections.no portion of the APC constitution states that a President, governor that has performed should be given right of first refusal.”

The statement read in part, “While not a surprise, that disqualification is a clear indication that internal democracy has been murdered in APC, a party which we founded on the principles of fair play and good conscience!

“I daresay that APC will suffer dire consequences in Edo state if this disqualification is not speedily reversed.

As a matter of fact, Oshiomhole is indeed the one who is guilty of anti-party (activities), not Obaseki. Oshiomhole is the one who is acting unconstitutionally not Obaseki. I hope that Oshiomhole will not go down in history as the undertaker of APC.”
