In a statement released by Onogwu Muhammed CPS to the Governor Of
Kogi State  Yahaya Bello has assured stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of a credible governorship primary election in Ondo State that will reflect the ideals of the party.
Bello gave the assurance on Friday shortly after the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election Committee ahead of the party’s primary slated for July 20, 2020.
Governor Bello assured the leadership of the party that the confidence reposed on him and other members of the committee will be justified through conduct of a transparent, credible, free and fair primary election in Ondo.
While inaugurating the committee, the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extra-ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni disclosed that the APC Primary and appeal Committees for Ondo State primary election were composed of party loyalists that will guarantee free and transparent primary election for the party.
Membership of the Ondo State Governorship Primary Election inaugurated today include Governor Yahaya Bello as Chairman; Olorogun o’tega Emerhor as Secretary while Alwan Hassan, Chief Samuel Sambo, Hajiya Binta Salihu, Mr. Emma Andy, Dr. Adebayo Adelabu, Abdullahi Aliyu and Mrs. Margret Ngozi Igwe serve as members.
In the same vein, the Ondo State Governorship Primary Election Appeal Committee has Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe as with Arch. Abdulmimuni Okara as Secretary while Mr. Festus Fientes, Mr. Okon Owoefiak, Mr. ABBA Isah, Alh. Umar Duhu, Hon. Sani El-katuzu, Mrs. Osuere Eunice and Emeka Agaba serve as members.
Both Committees were inaugurated by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extra-ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni at the APC National Secretariat by 3pm on Friday 17th July, 2020.

OBSERVERS TIMES yesterday reported that
that aspirants of the party who belong to the Unity Group of the party have expressed deep concern over the choice of Yahaya Bello as the chairman of the election committee.

The eleven aspirants of the party had for the last one week expressed their displeasure over the indirect mode of primary and have even petitioned the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extra-ordinary National Convention Planning Committee kicking against the adoption of indirect primary for the next Monday election
They have also organised a protest in the state capital insisting that they will boycott the primary if indirect mode of primary was adopted
