Gawuna,Shekaru revalidates their APC membership

 

Kano State Deputy Governor Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna,tuesday revalidates his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his Gawuna ward in Nassarawa Local Government area.

Accompanied by his wife Hajiya Hafsat Nasiru Gawuna and the Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Sen.Ibrahim Shekarau, The Deputy Governor while performing the registration exercise said the APC as a party that open its doors for everyone,attached significance to the exercise being the foundation of political development and democratic growth.

“President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje have already flag-off the registration and revalidation exercise at the National and State levels respectively to show the importance of the responsibility bestowed by the National leadership of the APC mandating all to register and revalidate their membership in order for the party to know its members Gawuna said”.

He enjoined stakeholders of the party to ensure that old members and new ones who have attained 18 years of age are encouraged to join the APC so as to increase its support base in the State.

Gawuna also pointed out that the APC in Kano State needs to consolidate on its victory in the 2019 election,in which it won the Governorship, all the national assembly positions and majority of state assembly seats, by now drawing more to register in the exercise.

“I am confident with the way people of Kano State are aware of the laudable achievements made by Ganduje administration in the area of provision of dividends of democracy, Kano will emerge first in the registration exercise he said”.

Speaking,the Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Sen.Ibrahim Shekarau said since members are the backbone of any political party therefore they should endeavour to come out and register.

In his remarks the Chairman of the APC Nassarawa Local Government Chapter, Alhaji Yakubu Ado told the gathering that the registration exercise is very important because its the members registered that would ensure the conduct of activities in the party.

While explaining the process of the registration and revalidation exercise, the Chairman of the registration committee in the State, Dr.Kabir Ibrahim Matazu highlights that every old member and new one should go to his polling unit with 2 passport photographs and voters card to register.

Later,the Deputy Governor accompanied the former Governor Of Kano State Sen.Ibrahim Shekarau and the Chaiman Of Nassarawa Local Government Alhaji Lamin Sani to register at their Giginyu and Jigirya polling units respectively.
