Former Vice Presidential Candidate, Her Excellency Hajiya Umma Getso bagged international award.
IWOC Award recognizes women from around the globe who have demonstrated exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for peace, justice, human rights, gender equality, and women’s empowerment – often at great personal risk and sacrifice.
The award was conferred on her for her relentless efforts towards nation building, human capital development, peace and capacity building.
She received the international Women of courage award on the 13th April at the Transcorp Hilton Hotels in Abuja in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory.
