Former Governor Idris Wada Congratulates Justice Baba-Yusuf on His Appointment As FCT Chief Judge

A former Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Captain Idris Wada, has congratulated His Lordship, the Honorable Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, on his elevation as the acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court.

In a message that the former Kogi state helmsman personally signed, he eulogised the qualities of Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, described the appointment as a square peg in a square hole and expressed optimism that FCT judiciary will experience the required judicial direction under his watch.

The statement reads in part;

“I congratulate His Lordship, the Honorable Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, on his appointment and swearing in as the acting Chief Judge of FCT High Court.

His Lordship, Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf is a compassionate, humble, committed, incorruptible, dispassionate and people-centric jurist per excellence.

Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf appointment to head the FCT judiciary is undoubtedly a good move by the current administration as his impeccable qualities makes him a square peg in a square hole and perfect fit for the role.

I am optimistic that his tenure as the head of the FCT judiciary will usher in a new dawn in the justice system.

I congratulate him once again and I pray for Almighty Allah to be with him all through his tenure and afterwards”.

Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, the new head of FCT judiciary, is a renowned jurist, whose appointment to chair the FCT bench was approved by the President Muhammadu Buhari.

Following his appointment by the President, he was sworn on Monday by His Lordship, the Honorable Justice Muhammed Tanko, the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
