In a stunning revelation, Shehu Gabam, National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has identified five key individuals who wield significant influence over President Bola Tinubu’s administration. These power brokers, who lead crucial components of the presidency, will be held accountable if the president fails to deliver on his promises.

According to Gabam, the five individuals are:

1. *Femi Gbajabiamila*: Chief of Staff to President Tinubu and former Speaker of the House of Representatives. As the chief of staff, Gbajabiamila plays a critical role in shaping the president’s agenda and policy decisions.

2. *Nuhu Ribadu*: National Security Adviser. Ribadu, a former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is responsible for advising the president on matters of national security.

3. *George Akume*: Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Akume, a veteran politician, oversees the administration’s policy implementation and ensures that government agencies are working in tandem.

4. *Head of Civil Service*: Although Gabam did not mention a specific name, the head of the civil service plays a vital role in implementing the president’s policies and ensuring the smooth operation of government agencies.

5. *Minister of Information*: Mohammed Idris. As the minister of information, Idris is responsible for communicating the president’s policies and programs to the public.

Gabam’s revelation comes amid growing concerns about the administration’s ability to address the country’s challenges, including the recent hunger protests. The SDP chairman expressed concerns about the lack of synergy within the presidency’s organs, warning that poor communication among these components could hinder the president’s success.

“The president cannot do it alone,” Gabam said. “He needs the support of his cabinet members and other key officials to succeed.”

Gabam’s comments have sparked a heated debate about the role of these power brokers in shaping the president’s agenda and the implications of their influence on the country’s governance.
