The Leadership of Igala Youth Council has called on the Executive Governor of Kogi State to match words with actions on the claim of a peaceful and well secured State by the Executive Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The national President of the group Hon. Onogu Collins gave this charge while reacting to the rising cases of assasinations in Kogi East over the last few months.
He frowned at the complacency of the security agencies for not making any tangible progress or arrest on previous cases which has allowed the act to thrive in Kogi East.
He further demanded in strong terms that the Government sit up to her primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties lamenting that the death of the late Ogacheko Atanu is a big setback for the land of Igala and Kogi State in general as it will scare away sons and daughter and of course other private investors who might have interest of investing in the land or State.
He also called on the various Executive Chairmen of all Local Government areas in Kogi East to rise to the challenge of securing lives in thier domain.
He noted that if the killers of the late oil consultant is not fish out, it will spur the vibrant and law abiding youths to protest the killings in the land.
He prayed for the repose of the deceased and ask God to comfort the family at this critical point.
