First Lady,Aisha Buhari Seeks More Opportunity For Women In Public Service

 
Nigerian First Lady,Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to governments at all levels to enact an enabling laws and policies, that will place women near par to men in the area of opportunities and placement both in the private and public sector of our economy.
The First Lady made this declaration at the International Conference Centre (ICC),during the launching of two books,Thorns of Success and Global Trends written by a Former Director in the Federal Ministry of Education,Dr Mrs Lami Amodu.
Represented by a special assistant, Hajia Mairo Tanko Al-makura appealed to the National Assembly to provide an enabling laws that will mitigate the glaring gap between the men and their women folks in all ramifications.
She commended the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for bridging the wide gap in the current dispensation,but pleaded for more efforts aimed at closing rank to ensure collective developement.
Nigeiran First Lady assured women in Nigeria that the present administration will do anything humanly possible to bring on board, Women of proven integrity and hard-working ,so as to prove their worth in both public and private sector .
She said her office is not relenting efforts to recognise women in this callibre of Dr Mrs Lami Amodu,whose efforts is geared towards the developement and advancement of the society through her distinct public service records and books.
Nigerian First Lady encouraged women from other profession not to relent as the present administration will reward those who had distinuguished themselves in their various fields.
She commended the author for a robust and exemplary public service records, particularly in the educational sector, promising to engage such proven individuals in the affairs of goverrment under the present adminstration.
Mrs Aisha Buhari maintained that such books that dwell on personal life experience and global phenomenon, should be enlisted in both public and private schools to guide children into living a life worthy of emulation .
