Finally, The Runaway Wife of Deputy Provost of Nasarawa College of Agriculture has spoke out.

by

Former wife of the Deputy Provost of Nasarawa State College of Agriculture, Mrs Felicia Aboki has revealed reasons why she ended her 18-year-old marriage with Dr. Peter Aboki.

This is coming some few days after former husband filed a case in court, accusing her of extra-marital affairs with immediate past Commissioner of Agriculture and Water Resources, Prof. Otaki Allanana.

Felicia who had ran away from the marriage however dismissed the claim, describing it as a blatant propaganda aimed at tarnishing her image.

She revealed that Mr Aboki contrary to insinuations was a monster and abusive husband which she has endured for good eighteen years.

“I have been married to him Mr Aboki for 18 solid years.

“I have played my role as a good, humble, dedicated, and a submissive wife against all odds, even when I knew it was almost costing me my life.

“Mr Aboki has been an abusive, assaulting, bulling, manhandling husband.

He always made sure that I wasn’t happy in the marriage at all cost. Domestic violence and physical assault has always been the order of the day for him.

“Even when my life was at stake, I kept on praying on my knees like every other woman would do for a husband she genuinely loves and cherish, thinking that God will touch his life for good someday. This prayers were never answered because there was no change on his part.

Apparently things kept going from bad to worst literally on a daily basis. I finally decided to move on with my life in other not to become a dead person someday. I decided to leave to Live.

“That was when he chose to raise his ugly head and fight me on social media by dragging Prof. Otaki who is just a mere acquaintance. No strings attached at all. He just want to maligned Professor’s name to get sympathy from the gullible.

“Please, kindly disregard whatever he has said concerning Prof. Otaki they are mere fallacies and it’s coming from a place of malice to tarnish his good image and integrity.

“Tell me a woman that knows her husband ill health and was still bearing the heat and shits i gets in return on a daily basis?

“Despite his health condition which he hide from me for years before I later found out. Mr Aboki suffering from Azoospermia.

“Azoospermia is a condition where a man can’t father a child because he doesn’t produce sperm. Having known his condition I stood by him. I didn’t cheat on him just so I could have my own children. I insisted he sought for medical treatment which he refused. How many women would sacrifice their joy of being a mother to such a selfish man for 18-years?

“Instead of appreciating my sacrifices, all I got from him in return was his cheating, womanizing, constant battering and threats of how he will kill me if I tell anyone he was responsible for our childlessness. I bore the shame and scorn of barrenness alone for 18 years. When it wasn’t any fault of mine. Yet, I still stood by him. Very few women could do this and this is what I get as payback.

“I have been passing through a lot; emotional neglect and isolation has become part of me for the past 18-years. It is still in the course of the union that I developed high blood pressure as a result of his maltreatment. He despises my feelings. Yet, I have been bearing his ill treatment all these years.

“I was unhappy in the marriage, but fear alternatives. He consistently neglect my own needs for the sake of his. Very selfish, and egocentric man. He makes a lot of sacrifices to please other people out there just to look good but can’t reciprocate such gestures with me.

“In 2020 I came to terms that accepting the abuse isn’t my responsibility anymore. That I actually deserves better, sadly it took a whole 18 years to realized I wasted my youth living with a Monster like Mr Aboki my Ex. Immediately I left him I stopped taking BP drugs which means, he was leading me to an early grave.

“On several occasions I have tried to help, but it’s unlikely, he won’t break this pattern of behavior without professional counseling, this he wasn’t ready to seek the desired help he needed.

“I disengaged and set personal boundaries from him. I exited the marriage by cutting all ties with him. I made it clear that it’s over between us and didn’t look back. The day I was leaving his house he offered me the sum of N10,000 for my transportation. And in my culture where I came from, once a man gives you transport to leave his house then indeed it is over.

“I didn’t stop at that I decided to make it official by taking the matter to court asking for the dissolution of our 18-years of marriage, the next hearing is slated for 15th September 2021. I left his house on the 4th November, 2020. And then filed for divorce on the 20th January, 2021.

“I had to consult a therapist who showed me a healthy way to move forward. Because Mr Aboki used to claim that I am useless without him. No man will ever found me worthy. Seeing that I am doing just fine without him he decided to go dirty.

“If you check the pictures he posted you all will see the difference between me of then and me of now. Going to social media means he is actually fulfilling part of his threats of calling the media on me. I want to ask Nigerians not to take him serious because he is a drowning man.

“Fellow Nigerians kindly disregard that post by Mr Aboki. It’s all fake, fraudulent, and malicious targeted at slandering my image.

“He promised he will do everything to destroy me. This is a case of calling a dog a bad name to hang it. As a result of so much threats from Mr Aboki, I want it to be on record that if anything happens to me, Mr Aboki should be held responsible.

“I can go on and on. The story line of solid 18 good years wasted being his wife can Never be written in a day, not even a week or month. I am his victim here.

“God bless you all my fellow Nigerians”, she narrated.
