Fighting Undying Man, Usman Okai Austin – By Onoja-Integrity Johnson.

It wouldn’t be wrong if I say true activism died with Fela Anikulapo Kuti who stood on the path of just till death and even after life was allegedly whisked out of him, his words keep echoing in the ears of men and piercing through the hearts of the noble. Because many activists who surfaced before and after him rode on the same story lines, they ended with shaky voices and capricious minds.

The name Okai never crossed my path until freeAustinOkai came on the social media. With curiosity, I frantically peeped into the trending story and I discovered that the man behind the bar is an activist cum party staunch. I waved off with a strong convincing thought that that man behind the bar is just another activist who would not stand the test of time. Probably, he was looking for semo, same story line.

However, years down the line, that man Okai Austin remains Okai Austin with unfathomable undauntedness.

Weather Okai have an ulterior motive or not, at this point, it’s of less concern to all thinking beings. His consistent consistency in speaking against maladministratiin has earned him such an accolade that I think nobody else deserves within the Kogi Political space.

In Kogi State, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has no opposition, the only force the entire state government is reckoning with is that man, Okai Austin. His voice is singly massive and one would wonder where he had garnered such strength from. You can’t point at his sponsors as he blasts his supposed facilitators too even his party bigwigs, yet he waxes strong and stronger.

Ostensibly, Okai is doing better than those in the government house and I wouldn’t stop to wonder why those whose whole body can’t lift a stone would jump into a wrestling ring with an undying man whose finger can obviously lift many stones.

I saw one of those facebook Almajiris threatening Austin and I wonder why online poor boys too would be fighting an undying man like Okai.
