The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) have agreed to strengthen their collaboration and synergy to enhance their respective services. This decision was made during a courtesy visit by the FHA Managing Director, Hon Oladimeji Oyetunde Ojo, to FERMA on September 11, 2024.
Both agencies recognized their mutual importance in providing livable environments for Nigerians through housing development and road infrastructure maintenance. The FHA boss highlighted the need for FERMA’s interventions in repairing roads within FHA estates, enabling FHA to focus on housing delivery.
The FERMA Managing Director, Dr. Agbasi, emphasized the importance of collaboration and suggested forming a team to maintain roads in FHA estates. He also proposed exploring opportunities for FERMA to develop its plots of land at a minimal cost with FHA’s assistance.
The visit aimed to deepen the synergy between the agencies, with FHA committed to providing affordable housing for Nigerians and FERMA focused on road maintenance. The collaboration is expected to yield positive results in improving the lives of Nigerians.
