The Igala Vanguard, a socio-cultural group led by Engr. Lawrence Ankpa, has praised Senator Jibrin Isah for distributing 2,400 bags of fertilizer to farmers across the nine local governments of Kogi East. This gesture has been widely commended by the farming community and stakeholders in the region.
The distribution exercise was flagged off in Idah, where the Attah of Igala, His Royal Majesty, Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, warned farmers against diverting the fertilizers for personal gain. He emphasized the importance of using the fertilizers for their intended purpose – to address hunger and boost food production in the region.
Engr. Ankpa, while commending Senator Isah for his kind gesture, also praised the Attah of Igala for his physical presence during the flag-off ceremony. He noted that the Attah’s involvement demonstrates his commitment to the welfare of his people and the development of the region.
Ankpa further observed that there has been a remarkable improvement in the second term of Senator Isah, evident in his dedication to empowering farmers and addressing the food security challenges in Kogi East. He encouraged the senator to continue his good work, assuring him of the support and cooperation of the Igala Vanguard and the farming community.
This fertilizer distribution initiative is a significant step towards enhancing agricultural productivity and food security in Kogi East. The Igala Vanguard’s commendation is a testament to Senator Isah’s commitment to the well-being of his constituents and his dedication to sustainable development in the region.
