In a groundbreaking announcement, the Federal Government has decided to end all restrictions on posting National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to government offices, agencies, and parastatals. This move, which will come into effect starting from the commencement of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ orientation course, will see young graduates being deployed to any sector of the economy without limitations.

The decision was confirmed by the Minister for Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, who stated that the government aims to provide equal opportunities for all corps members to gain valuable work experience across various sectors. This bold step is expected to not only enhance the skills and capabilities of young graduates but also contribute to the overall development and growth of the nation.

This development has been met with widespread praise and excitement from NYSC members, who see it as a valuable opportunity to explore different career paths and make meaningful contributions to the nation. As the country prepares to welcome the new batch of youth corps members, this policy change is seen as a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and dynamic workforce.
