The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of retired Brig.-Gen. Uwem Udokwere, who was killed during an invasion of his residence in the Sunshine Homes area of Lokogoma, Abuja.

The suspects, all residents of the Apo area of the FCT, have confessed to the crime, which occurred at about 3 am on Saturday. They have been identified as:

1. Ibrahim Rabiu, 33
2. Nafiu Jamil, 33
3. Aliyu Abdullahi, 47

According to a situation report obtained from a reliable source within the police, the suspects confessed to murder and armed robbery, stating that they killed the General to prevent him from harming them with his pistol, which he was unable to effectively manipulate. They also admitted to stealing laptops, phones, and other valuables from the deceased’s home.

The police have recovered the knife used to stab the General to death and his black GSM phone, a Redmi model. Efforts are ongoing to recover the two pistols and apprehend other suspects at large.
