FCCPC Prosecutes H-Medix, Faxx Stores, Ebeano Supermarket & Bakan Gizo Pharmacy over Alleged Price Gouging

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, prosecuted H-Medix, Faxx Stores, Ebeano Supermarket, and Bakan Gizo Pharmarcy, over allegations of price gouging.

At first sitting at the Federal High Court, Abuja, relevant arguments on jurisdiction were resolved, and the Court proceededwith case against the defendants. Further hearing was adjourned to June 26, 2020.

Babatunde Irukera, CEO, FCCPC & prosecuting counsel explained that the charges were vital to deter the outrageous increase in gouging.
