The family of burnt PDP Woman leader in the last Kogi election, conglomerates of civil society Organisations has accused the Police heirachy for allegedly releasing the killers of the woman over the pretense of lack of evidence.
It was allegedly unearth that Kogi state government and the APC jointly carreid out a hatchet job, to frustrate the ongoing investigation and the global demand for Justice, against the perpetrators of the dastardly acts known to be APC hired thugs.
Mrs Salome Acheju Abu was burnt alive after a post election riot broke out in her country home,with the culpirits known to be hired thugs both by the state government and the APC.
The Police at the initial stage refused to act on the matter not until the case was brought to both public fora and the international community before the authorities reluctantly wade in.
Having known the culpirits and acted in between the act of the hoodlums and the hired thugs,The police refused to provide the legal framework for the prosecution of the matter,leading to the court striking out the matter from the court.
This appears to be a concluded and intial plans to sweep the matter under the carpet,as the life and death of rival party members of PDP is not important to both the state and goverrment.
The civil society groups and some members of the opposition PDP in Kogi state have launched an awareness campaign demanding accelerated Justice both from the Police and the Judiciary,only for the striking out of the case today for lack of evidence and police statement.
We here by alert the international communities, stakeholders,human rights activists and bodies,to resist the glaring injustices and massacre of innocent woman and opposition elements by both the security agencies,Kogi state government,hired thugs and the federal government ,whose act was merely an instruction from it’s body language,but without matching orders to the Police.
The family and PDP in Kogi will not allow such a heinuos crime go down as it usually carried out by goverrment and law enforcement agencies in Nigeria,as perpetrators of the human rights abuses must be brought to book
The judiciary and securtiy agencies will be treated as accomplices to this very inhuman and barbaric acts, all in the name of the ruling party and access to securtiy apparatuses,geared towards exterminating the opposition in Nigeria.
