EXPOSED: Illegal Substitution, Removal Of Delegates List Rocks Bello APC faction Ahead Of Guber

THERE are reported cases of alleged removal and illegal substitution of delegates’ names ahead of the forthcoming APC Primary election in Kogi State as against the original list earlier submitted to INEC and the APC National headquarters. The alleged plan to alter the delegate list ahead of the primaries was said to be directly connected with issue of trust among ward and local government executives who are ready to protest the poor performance of the current government and may not do the bidding of the Governor at the coming primaries. Investigation revealed that some officials of government are involved in the ridiculous and unconstitutional practice of impunity of substituting names, currently the plan to substitute delegate names is being perfected in two local governments while other local government is expected to be perfected within the coming week.
The fear of defeat at the primaries has already sent shivers into some of the Governor’s appointees resulting to Ijumu Local Government administrator openly laying curses on any party executives who betrays him and the Governor. The position of the party’s Constitution is express on the issue and the National Working Committee is therefore called upon to beam their searchlight to avert a looming crisis that could jeopardize the peace and stability of our APC in the State.
Our party must hastily nip in the bud, any desperate act by any individual or group to undermine the credibility and transparency of the coming 29th August primary election. One of the party critical stakeholder, on Friday, described the attempt as “undemocratic, unconstitutional, anti-party and clearly damaging. More worrisome is the attempt that the Governor has also been making frantic efforts to effect the altered statutory delegates list at the APC National Headquarters, and replace them with strange names that will do his bidding during the primary election. This allegation is indeed unfortunate, unacceptable and must be investigated by the party. Details soon.
