Ex-Governor Amosun’s Camp Enters Alliance With PDP In Ogun.

by

Former Governor and Senator Ibikunle Amosun, backed by the All People’s Movement (APM), entered into a coalition with the People’s Democratic Party and its dominant candidate, Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, to overthrow the People’s Democratic Party. They dumped the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, and the ruling party, All Congress Progressives.

APM led by Adekunle AbdulKabir Akinlade in coalition documents obtained by SaharaReporters regarding the 2023 general election explained how electoral and political offices would be awarded to associates if the coalition wars won in 2023.

The candidate for governor of the Ogun State PDP for the 2023 election, Adebutu, led loyalists to former Governor Amosun, led by Akinlade, in a written agreement on the public formal sharing of electoral offices and political appointments should the PDP win the 2023 gubernatorial election as Adebutu’s candidate before next year’s election.

In a seven-page document titled “The Alliance Agreement between Hon. Oladipo Olatunde Adebutu and Hon. Adekunle AbdulKabir Akinlade regarding the 2023 Elections for Governor, Deputy Governor, Electoral and Related Appointment Authorities in Ogun State, Nigeria,” online trends suggest the duo agree to share power and responsibility in the event in case of victory in 2023.
