The Peoples Democratic Party PDP candidate in the last Kigi governorship election, Engr Musa Wada has expressed sadness over the tanker explosion in Felele, Lokoja, Kogi state capital
An incidence on Tuesday morning where over 25 students were burnt to death and many injuries sustained.
In a statement, Engr Musa Wada, commiserated with the victims of the incident .
The former Gubernatorial candidate called for calm and asked the State and Federal Government to makes frantic efforts to ascertain the cause of the incident, and address the effects to avert further reoccurrence of such disaster, emphasizing on the needs for adequate attention on Okene, Lokoja and Abuja roads, as the number of accidents and insecurity is alarming.
He commended the men of Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, volunteers and all relevant agencies for taking action following the explosion.
Engr Musa Wada lament the non functioning of government owned hospital in the state capital, to take care of those who sustained injuries as a result of tanker accident.
Engr Musa Wada said that everything should be done to avert the recurrence of such incident in future.
“My heart goes out to the people of Kogi state especially the victims of the explosion, in Felele, Lokoja.’

‘I sympathise with the people and Government of Kogi state and the management of Kogi state polytechnic over the incident.’
