Employment Scandal: NSITF In Alleged Secret Recruitment, Says Nigeria Integrity Movement.

 In what looks like a secret absorption allegations in NSITF by the leadership of NSITF under Micheal Akabogu and the Minister of Labour and Employment , Senator Chris Ngige over posting of new staffers to offices around the country, Nigeria Integrity Movement, a non governmental organization has raises alarm.

According to Kayode Esan ,the spokesman of NIM, the exercise was at the instance of the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chief Chris Ngige and some top management of the fund.

This is at the backdrop of the forceful removal of the previous management of the agency, that accussed the Minister of employing his kinsmen into top and key positions in the organization, as well as award of fictitious contracts.

The Minister recommended his kinsman’s for appointment as the new Managing Director, Micheal Akabogu so as to pave way for a ‘one man show’ in the area of employments of the easterners and usurping of contracts and supplies.

Akabogu was seen as a stooge by top management of the fund because of his faulty loyalty and response to the Minister’s request against the lay down procedures of the organization.

The controversial agency had been in the eye of the storm over series of misdemeanors under the Minister, Chief Chris Ngige in the last six years.

The Minster, Chris Ngige had meddled into the Board and leadership of the social fund to pave way into bringing in easterners majorly at the top echelon of the fund.

It is high time President Muhammadu Buhari look into the activities of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust fund NSITF that had being sectionalised by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chief Chris Nwabueze Ngige.

New staffers are seen assuming duties in various offices in the country with new assumption documents without due processes or in line with the Federal Character Commission’s guidelines.
