Eid-el-Kabir: Omebije preaches peace at Sallah

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP aspirant for Kogi state on Sunday, emphasised the need for all Kogites to live in peace irrespective of tribe, or religion, stressing that development and progress could only be achieved when there is peace.
Omebije said  this in Anyigba shortly after the Eid-El-Kabir prayers while hosting some muslim faithful said all hands must be on deck to ensure, improve and sustain peace in the state and the country as a whole.
He said, “We the kogites need to deliberately ensure that peace reign in our state. Whether you are a Christian or a Muslim or whatever is your religion or tribe, we have to live peacefully together in one accord as that is the only panacea to economic development.
“For any meaningful development to be recorded, we have to enthrone peace in our day to day lifestyle. Our progress as a people is dependent on peace. There must be deliberate and concerted efforts by all to give peace a chance”.
