Education Is Witnessing A New Revolution in FCT; Minister.

The Federal Capital Territory Education programs is passing through another phase of development in recent time, with government determination to meeting it’s basic needs and requirements.

This was disclosed on Thursday at Local Government Education Authority,Abuja Municipal Council end of the year award ceremony for teachers were the Minister of State was the special guest of honor at the occasion.

The Minster of State,Dr Ramatu Tijanni Aliyu who was represented by Acting Chairman and Director FCT Universal Basic Education Board,Dr Alhassan Sule said the collective commitement of both staff and students had resulted into the new landmark being recorded in the Education sector of FCT.

She commended the outstanding performance of FCT schools in the national competition held in Lagos were they came 7th position, as a sign of good administrators and followers.

Dr Aliyu reminded on the importance of Education to our children, and should be on the high priority,as it will discourage pupils from engaging in all sort of vices prevalent in our society.

She promised access to quality Education- in the FCT with ongoing major reforms in it’s curricular and programs, that will contend with the current order.

“We intend to introduce an Educational program namely ‘SMART’, so as to give an unfettered access to modern technology to children in the FCT, to enable them compete favourably with their counterparts within and outside the shores of Nigeria.”

She said government on a daily basis is reviewing the activities of schools ,so as to curb the scourge of out of school children in the FCT.

Dr Ramatu Tijanni Aliyu assured Education administrators of more attention and access to working facilities including their welfare across board

While congratulating the Education Secretary for AMAC, Dr Maryam Baba Ibrahim Karshi,she lauded her on the achievements just one year in office,promising the support of the government.
