As Edo State gubernatorial election draws closer, revelations have started coming in from different angles, especially From political gladiators in the State, the election is Slated for September 2020, and political bigwigs across party lines are hell-bent, firing every available cylinder ahead of the governorship showdown in Edo State, OBSERVERS TIMES report.
The latest revelation in Edo state is coming from the Edo State Deputy Governor, Mr Shaibu who accused Mr Adams Oshiomole, the Relieved National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress of using him to impeach the Edo State Governor who has been on loggerheads with Adams Oshiomole, the supposed Godfather.
According to Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Adams knew fully well that he was closer to members of the house of Assembly during his eight years spell, and also his Eighteen months time in the house of Representatives, that is why he wanted to use him to impeach Godwin Obaseki.
He asked me to embark on the impeachment adventure so that I Can become the Governor, I told him no, If I can’t betray you during your days as NLC chairman when I was the NASS President and when I was chased with Money and plot of Land in Maitama, to impeach Adams Oshiomole, then I can’t betray Godwin Obaseki because I want to become the Governor of Edo State. Shaib continued.
I personally go down on my knees to beg Adams Oshiomole to forgive Adams Oshiomole, but he refused and accused me of ganging up with Godwin Obaseki, I told Him if Obaseki Leaves, then I leave, because I can’t allow myself to be used as a tool to chase the Governor. He disclosed.
While speaking to newsmen, Philip Shaib in his usual outburst said, I will continue to use the Same energy I use in defending Adams Oshiomole From impeachment on Godwin Obaseki because I hate betrayal.
