The Peoples Democratic Party campaign DG for Edo state Governor Nyesom Wike, The Executive Governor of Rivers State has declared that Edo state Gubernatorial election billed for September this year will be a walkover for the PDP candidate, Governor Godwill Obaseki, OBSERVERS TIMES report.
The Campaign DG was quoted as saying, based on the testimony of the former National Chiarman of the ALL progressives Congress APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who once described Obaseki as a brain box and the magic behind his success as a govenor, the coast is now clear for the inhabitants of Edo to make thier choice and I am confident Godwin Obaseki will be returned elected.
The Governor while speaking on Channels television said Oshiomhole can’t be playing Edo people like football, the Governor mocked Ize Iyamu who he said Oshiomhole once described as a fake pastor and a man that can never be a govenor of Edo state.
On the issue of certificate, Wike said the court has settle the issue of certificate forgery instituted against Obaseki, Wike quote Obaseki who once said that, “Prof Itse Sagay Committee indicted Ize Iyamu”
Oshiomhole said” Ize Iyamu poured acid on a fellow student and today the student can’t have a family and others, why did he Ize Iyamu not go to court and challenge Oshiomhole of defamation and others? Ize Iyamu refusal to act then and coming to tell the people of Edo state now that it’s a mere political propaganda is laughable. Wike continued.
The people of Edo state will not allow godfatherism and Obaseki candidature has given them an apple opportunity to end it, Wike said it’s time for the Edo people to say “enough is enough” the mere fact that Obaseki is fighting godfatherism is good enough to even vote for him assuming he didn’t even perform.
Wike continued by saying, before now, every appointment in the state is made by Oshiomhole and Obaseki has to resist that and that is good, we applaud that with outmost sincerity, Oshiomhole want to know when Obaseki will even sleep with his own wife, Oshiomhole must approved whoever Godwill Obaseki will appoint, Wike described this act as archaic and out of modern political functionality.
On those that resigned, Wike said those are the people that was appointed by Oshiomole, their one by one exits is a mere strategy plotted by Oshiomhole, those that he appointed are the one obeying him. That Obaseki didn’t fire them and allow them to be leaving one by one show how Obaseki is human, Wike said if I were Godwin Obaseki, immediately I disagreed with Oshiomhole, I will fire everybody that he brought into my Government.
Wike while on Channels television insisted that, Oshiomhole is the one leading the campaign not Ize Iyamu that shows Oshiomhole is not tired of godfatherism yet.
The Campaign DG alleged that, Pastor Ize Iyamu met with the head of cultist called “Tony Kabbaka” and others thugs and mandated them to move from one polling unit to another on the day of election, it must be noted that the instruction contradicts electoral amendments act.
Wike went ahead to defend Obaseki statement of violent for violent, Wike said the governor can’t afford to fold his hands and watch thugs and cultist loyal to Pastor Ize Iyamu destroy Lives and properties. Wike said with APC Federal Government at the head, the state Governors has limited influence on security and the needful must be done from the federal level to pervert unnecessary bloodshed during the Edo governorship election.
