Edo 2020: PDP, Wike Mock Ize-Iyamu Over Failed Final Campaign, Says APC Leaders Have Abandoned Him.
The People’s Democratic Party National Campaign Council for Edo State Governorship Election has mocked the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Ize-Iyamu, over failure to do his final campaign scheduled to hold on Wednesday.
This was made known to the public through a press statement released by its National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbodiyan, on Thursday evening.
The PDP campaign asserts that the APC and Ize-Iyamu have been weighed down and completely overwhelmed by the soaring popularity of Governor Godwin Obaseki across the state and had no option other than to abandon their campaign.
The Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for Edo State, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, said the sudden cancellation of Ize-Iyamu’s grand finale campaign shows that he has given up and conceded defeat to Godwin Obaseki.

The grand finale campaign for Pastor Ize-Iyamu earlier scheduled to hold on Wednesday was canceled indefinitely. The reason for the cancellation is yet to be revealed to the public.
It was gathered that there is a misunderstanding in the APC camp in Edo State as some party leaders failed to support Pastor Ize-Iyamu.
Former National Chairman of the party, John Oyegun, told people of Edo State to vote their conscience.
The election is scheduled to hold on Saturday and political campaigns end by 11:59 pm on Thursday.
