Former statesman Edwin Clark said the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, dream of including South-South states on the map of Biafra.
The IPOB led by Nnamdi Kanu is agitating to bring out the Old Eastern region of Nigeria to form the Republic of Biafra.
And Clark, who spoke in an interview with TBEN Pidgin, said the IPOB is very unrealistic in its quest to break up South-South and South-East Nigeria, adding: “For me, IPOB is not pursuing not the right thing. “
However, Clark maintained that Nnamdi Kanu is fighting a good fight, adding that the people of the Southeast are overlooked in Nigeria.
Clark explained that the Southeast has only five states, while the rest of the country has six and seven, respectively: “Based on what? Nobody knows.”
“For each appointment made in this country, the Igbo people are wronged. If the universities are broken down by state, they will have five. Others will have six while Northwest will have seven. This despite the formation of the Igbo in the third stage during the creation of this country.
So they have a good complaint, but they are doing it wrong.”
Speaking further, he said: “How can Delta be part of Biafra? In what way? Is Biafra older or bigger than Delta?
“How can Rivers State or Akwa Ibom be part of Biafra? They dream of still thinking about the eastern region of the time.
