Kogi Professionals have sent a message of congratulations to Dr Omede Idris, over his conferement by by the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA)
The Professionals in a statement signed by the body, issued by Oloko Idris, said the investiture was an award well deserved by the recipient, in view of his track records of achievements in unionism,adminstration and political development of the country.

The body avered the incontrovertible nature of the award to Dr Omede Idris, devoid of any political manipulations,undercut as well as undertone,bestowed on an enigma with high level integrity both in the public and private endeavours
He said his achievements in both private and public health management, along with managerial skills and political foray had assisted the country in no small measure, towards the attainment of stable health programs,unionism and political stability in the country
The body described Dr Omede Idris as a fine gentleman and a strong believer of human and societal advancement, geared towards the liberalisation of basic infrastructural and social services, as demonstrated during his stint in both private,public service
Oloko thanked the awardees for considering him worthy,saying the award will relive the confidence of the people in the cultural association
Dr Omede Idris and two others were conferred with Commander of Igala Kingdom CIK by the National Body of Igala Cultural and Development Association ICDA in a well attended events at Igala Unity House at Anyigba , Dekina LGA of Kogi state. This is in recognition of his “unflinching commitment and dedicated service to the Igala Nation and Kogi state”. Dr Omede Idris was a former National President of Nigerian Medical Association NMA and also of Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria APBN and former Commissioner of Health, Kogi state and former President Inikpi Club of Nigeria. He was a governorship aspirant in the just concluded Kogi governorship, but stepped down his ambition for the overwhelming interest of the state
He stated that he didn’t know his modest contribution to human and infrastructural development over time was that noted. He dedicated the award to ICDA Adamawa state where he cut his teeth and the entire ICDA and Igala Kingdom.
