Don’t Allow Kogi Governor Return To Ondo,He Is An Enemy of Democracy

As Group Congratulates Barrister Eyitayo Jegede SAN
Kogi Democratic Group(KDG), has tasked the people of Ondo state not to allow Kogi governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello return to Ondo during the forthcoming Governorship election in the state.
The call became necessary in view of the charade and war like situation demonstrated by the state government, including all Federal agencies like INEC,Police,DSS that return Kogi governor through the back door by all means possible.
A statement released in Lokoja today argued that his return to Ondo state, will mean replication of the anti democratic conducts, carried out by the APC state and federal led goverrment in Ondo state.
Ibrahim Mohammed speaking for the group reminded Kogi governor, that Ondo state is not Kogi state, and as a child of history he should go down memory lane to what happened in 1983, to forcefully remove former late governor of old Ondo state,Chief Adekunle Ajasin(UPN) to impose Chief Akin Omoboriowo(NPN).
The group warned Kogi governor not to allow history to repeat itself by trying to truncate the popular choice of the people,Chief Eyitayo Jegede SAN, PDP.
He says the shoddy and disatisfied conducts of the primary election that produced Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, including his declining popularity is enough to sound a note of warning to APC in Ondo, and it’s mercenaries in Kogi.
Mohammed asked the people of Ondo state to tackle the forthcoming election in the state with all decent democratic process, and ensure that all votes must count to avoid any untoward actions from planned mercenaries to be imported to Ondo state through Kogi state government.
He says paid thugs from Kogi state under the supervision of the state government, imported to Ondo to cause disordeliness during the primary election, was a child’s play,as the people of the state should be prepared for war, between the state and kogi governor.
Mohammed maintained that the quest for good governance in Ondo state should not be sacrifice at the alter of thuggery and anti democratic forces being imported from Kogi and other parts of the country.
‘Let the people of Ondo not allow a repeat of what happened in the last four years,as Ondo state is for PDP all round in a sane democratic environment.’
He appeal to INEC and the security agencies not to risk any form or compromise with the APC starlwarts, capable of truncating the democratic practice in the state and by extension Nigeria.
