Deputy Governor, SSG, APC Zonal Chair defects to PDP

Hundreds of supporters of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kebbi state have left the party for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

Those who left are mostly from the Kebbi South Senatorial district of the state.

They include a former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim K Aliyu, Alhaji Atiku Alaramma Warra APC Zonal Vice Chairman Kebbi South, and former Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Ummar among others.

The defectors said they joined the PDP due to bad governance in the state as there was no development put in place by the present administration.

They assured to work for the party to ensure its success in the 2023 general elections.

At the PDP headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, defectors from Yauri, Shanga, Ngaski and Danko Wassagu local government areas were received by the PDP state executives.

Receiving the new members, the state PDP Chairman, Alhaji Usman Bello Suru, assured to treat them with fairness and equality.

At the ceremony, brooms were equally set on fire by the PDP supporters.
