Angered by the election defeat, Senator Smart Adeyemi believing that Melaye also benefited from his own magnanimity has embarked on recovery mission, the development that has created heavy tension in Kogi west as the defeated Senator under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC has vowed to recover all the vehicle he gave out before the general election, the Senator gave out exotic cars to some prominents party leaders from Kogi west to enable them canvas for him in the election that he woefully lost to Senator Dino Melaye .
It was rumoured in some quarters that Yahaya Bello actually funded the purchased of the vehicles as part of the election expenses on that basis some leaders are saying they will never return the vehicles, confirming the story the Chairman, All Progressive Congress in Yagba West Local Government said, it is true that, Sen Smart Adeyemi gave his numerous supporters and some traditional leaders who are from his constituency SUV NISSAN Jeeps to ease his constituent’s mobility and enterprising so as to enhance their standard of livings.
The good gesture deserves respect and commendation instead of seeking for the wrath of law of humanity, which states that, “woe betides a man who bites the finger that has once fed him”.
Sen Adeyemi is our indispensable leader in Kogi West Senatorial District and any dent on his name is a dent on our great party.
We have hundreds of the beneficiaries from his generosity in our Local Government yet they have all what they had one way or the other benefited from him with them retained, with no compulsion to return them inspite of disparity in political parties.
In a terrible situation where some disgruntled elements are using the same benevolence gained from the leader of the party to discredit him, such act is tantamount to the denigration of our great party in Yagba West Local Government and taking the necessary action becomes invariably compulsory, because of his large followers in our Local Government.
Justifying the Senator act of shame and unnecessary action the chairman said “It becomes obligatory to tame such people’s excesses by retrieving the vehicles,taking such measure is not only to their disadvantage of being mobile, more also not to aid spoiling the chances of the party winning in the coming gubernatorial elections with their dirty jobs.
The retrieval of the Jeeps from the said people becomes necessary as a result of the party resolution.
Sen Adeyemi said, he has no opposing view with the position of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Yagba West Local Government in their resolution to strengthen the party and adherence to its supremacy becomes inescapable to him.
Toyin said, Sen Smart Adeyemi has never personally given any formal directive to do that.
Recall that, there was a complain from the leadership of the party at the Local Government level as regard the subject matter.
Adeyemi said, “while I will not be interested in asking people to return the vehicles I have in time past given to them, I will equally not tolerate the benevolence gained from me be used to rubbish my integrity or destroy my present party”.
Some people whose vehicles were withdrawn, I was actually told about their dastard acts, they were the same people who were at the several fora, calling me series of unprintable names simply because, I left their party on the ground of my political moral philosophy.
When the report was made before me, the impression given to me was, there was a need to report some people who were running their mouths in a defamatory manner that deserved to be tamed.
While I will not go against people belonging to different political parties, so politicians should be conscious of their utterances, so that they will not say what they cannot defend in the court of law against an individual”.
