DAVID ZACHARIAS MOURND THE DEMISE OF ATTAH IGALA, SAYS AN IROKO TREE HAS FALLEN

 
The member representing Idah federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. David Idris Zacharias expressed commiserations with the family, friends and the good people of Igala Kingdom over the death of His Royal Majesty, Attah Igala, Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni II and Chairman, Kogi state council of traditional rulers.
Zacharias in a statement he personally issued to journalists, said the transition of the of the revered Igala King was a great loss that would leave psychological scars on the entire Igala Kingdom.
The lawmaker described the late royal father as a man who has the love of his subjects at heart and did so in his various interventions, especially when he led traditional rulers from the state to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in the quest for federal government’s presence in the state.
Zacharias said the late Attah was a man of peace who devoted his life and reign to the unity, progress and development of not only his people, the Igala kingdom, but also the state and country at large.
The statement adds that, his recent courtesy call on the Minister of Power to lobby that Kogi East be connected to the national grid was one of his display of love for the Igala people.
As his constituent, Zacharias recalls that the 27th Attah Igala will be greatly missed for his constant crave for unity, peace, love and a detribalized Kogi state shown in his activity before his death
He prayed that the lord will give him and his family, the Igala Kingdom the fortitude to bear the loss and that his soul will continue to rest in peace.
