CSR: Igala Vanguard Lauds DG NPC, Dr. Kashim Akor For Donation Of Infrastructural Items and social Interventions.

 

Igala Vanguard, a socio-cultural group has commended the intervention of Director General, National Productivity Centre (NPC) Dr. Kashim Akor for the donation of transformers, solar street lights to the people of Ankpa town and Ejegbo Community of the local government.

 

In a statement issued on behalf of the body by Engineer Lawrence Akpa and obtained by OBSERVERS TIMES  said, the gesture will go a long way in solving the frequent power outage in the local government headquaters – Ankpa and it’s environs.

He said, aside the provision of transformers, the installation of solar powered street lights will curb the activities of criminal elements and other vices threatening the peace, securtiy and stability of the entire local government.

‘Lighting up the ancient Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Oturkpo Road and by extension to Ejegbo; and adjoining villages is capable of returning life back to the ancient Ankpa town. He further stated that, the two old streets was the symbol and image of the old Ankpa township.’

He also lauded the intention of the DG to support old Institutions in the community – Kogi State College of Education KSCOE, Ankpa with computer accessories to enhance ICT learning and digital technology.

‘We are not unaware of his strides to give the needed assistance to the new outreach of the National Open University of Nigeria NOUN, established within his immediate constituency.’

‘This positive contributions by the Director General, National Productivity Centre, Dr. Kashim Akor will go along way into encouraging our youths to further their education.’

‘It is also in the public domain that his empowerment, capacity building, skill acquisition and charitable contributions to both his immediate Community and Ankpa local government area has touched and transformed more lives than one.

‘This is in addition to series of supports to religious homes to either renovate, reconstruct and construct new worship centres across the two major religions in the area.’

This developement alone is capable of enhancing religious harmony, peaceful co-existence among diverse people of Ankpa Local Government he stated.
